We are trying to bring back to life the London Machine Tool Company lathe. It swings about 5 feet in the gap and 38 inches over the bed. It might just be big enough to turn the tires on my small steam locomotive. Forging and finishing a small 2.5 pound axe in a minute and a half. I’m not much of an axe maker so I learn a little bit each time I make them. I have yet to make two axes that look the same because I keep trying different things each time… someday I’ll figure it out.
